 We would like to introduce you to Hernando Cortez who has  been with JJKDA for over 20 years. Hernando is married and has  a 12 year old son. Hernando has shown great dedication to  JJKDA throughout the years and is an invaluable asset to the  team. He is behind most of the work that you have received from  us at JJKDA and takes great pride in the quality of what goes out  the door at JJKDA to your office. He works in the crown and  bridge department at the lab and does everything from wax ups  to digital scanning. It is employees like Hernando who help to  make JJKDA who we are.

Below is a brief interview that we did with Hernando to discuss what he likes best about JJKDA and the changes he’s seen over the years.

What do you like best across the different things you do at the lab?

• I really enjoy working in the digital department doing the scanning and Full Contour zirconia

What changes have you seen at JJKDA throughout the years?

• JJKDA has progressed from just being an Aesthetic lab to a full service lab with an additional focus on implants, digital and now we have a Removable department as well. The biggest changes have been in the past 3-5 years with the implementation of Digital into the dental lab. It’s been an exciting time in the industry.

What do you like best about working at JJKDA?

• I really appreciate the communication between the technicians. Everyone gets along and supports each other. The doctors can communicate directly with the technicians. At the end of the day, we all truly want what is best for the doctor and the patient and take great pride in our work.
