Course objectives will focus on the details–from clinical impressions to the delivery of esthetic removable prosthetics:

  • Hands-on fixed bar design using NobelProcera® CAD software
  • Transferring denture setup to the NobelProcera Hybrid bar
  • Processing and finishing techniques for implants and overdentures
  • Foundation and function of implant bar designs (types and rationale)
  • Function of bar design in the right location independent of arch situation
  • Understanding the correct workflow to fabricate fixed-implant dentures
  • Proper denture tooth set-up techniques according to natural function
  • Wax-up techniques
  • Customizing acrylic contours and shade tones to bring life to your removable
  • Understanding and working with virtual implant placement and prosthetic planning software

Participants will need to bring their own waxing instruments and all other personal tools.

Each student will be provided articulated working models on a KaVo® articulator along with the necessary denture teeth, waxes, and silicone

Dennis Urban CDT has worked in the dental technology field for over 35 years. He owned and operated a full service lab on Long Island, New York for many years. He has lectured worldwide since 1985 on many areas of dental technology, including denture set ups, lingualized occlusion, denture processing, implant overdentures, occlusion, soft liners, infection control, and porcelain staining. His technical articles have been published numerous times in many dental publications in the U.S., Canada and Europe. Dennis Urban has been Vice President of both the Long Island Dental Laboratory Association and the Dental Laboratory Association of the State of New York. He was a Cal Lab board member and a delegate for the NADL.
