Maximizing Your Fee Through Easy Centric Function and Esthetics

Learn denture tooth set-up techniques that help provide tooth alignment and self-positioning to add value to your skill. As a denture technician you want to maximize your deliverables every day and with a few tips you can become efficient and stand out with differentiation.

Be part of this denture workshop and learn the essentials of setting denture teeth in a manner that is quicker, almost self-guided, balanced as desired, and promote less finishing time. With an experienced trainer you will also learn tricks and tips of setting teeth in proper placement to ridge and anatomical landmarks. The trainer will also explain in detail avoidance techniques to minimize secondary try-in appointments, bite adjustments, and reduce processing errors. Selection of cuspal tooth inclination considerations related to jaw relationship, ridge loss, and a patient’s perception of being “locked-in” when chewing. Additional information of common mistakes of overdenture bar designs, selection of attachments and fixed implant bar designs will also be covered. You will spend time setting teeth in a Class I ridge relationship but will also learn how similar set-up techniques can be applied to other classifications to avoid unnecessary lateral and protrusive interferences.

Journey through this step-by-step denture set-up course and pick-up the essentials from clinical impression to delivery of an esthetic removable prosthesis to help drive your value as a technician and department leader.

Course objectives:
• Provide guidance of proper tooth arrangement techniques for specific patient needs
• Selection of size, shape, and texture of denture teeth specific to treatment plan
• Awareness of different case classifications and appropriate handling of each
• Proper case planning and how to prevent and/or correct common set-up mistakes
• Waxing and finishing techniques to naturally characterize a finished denture

Participants will need to bring their own waxing instruments and all other personal rotary tools.

Each student will be provided articulated working models on a KaVo® articulator along with the necessary denture teeth and wax.
